I was trying to get pregnant for a full year before coming to Dr. Wu and had done two unsuccessful IUIs. With just a few weeks of treatment with Dr. Wu I got pregnant. Dr. Wu supported me through my whole pregnancy and set me up for an easy labor. He helped induce me naturally and I had such a quick and easy delivery because of Dr. Wu’s treatments. Sharing what I wrote on Yelp here... I am writing this as a mom of a beautiful and healthy 6 month old baby boy. I wouldn't be here today if it weren't for Dr. Wu. I'm advanced maternal age and a fairly stressful person. As you can imagine it was difficult for me to get pregnant. We tried for a year and a half before we decided that it was time to look into IUI or IVF. Before going this route, a handful of people recommended I try acupuncture first to help with another shot at a natural pregnancy, and even if that was unsuccessful, doing acupuncture would get my body and hormones in a good place for IUI or IVF. I had some stressful family dynamics that resolved itself about late November 2023. After the holidays I decided to try acupuncture with Dr. Wu in January 2024, and I got pregnant a month later in February! Not only did I do acupuncture before to get pregnant, I kept at it all throughout my pregnancy up until about a week and a half before giving birth. It's so important to keep your stress levels down while you're pregnant and acupuncture and talking to Dr. Wu every week really helped with that. I truly believe I had a pretty easy and health pregnancy (no nausea, morning sickness, heart burn, passed all pre-natal exams, etc.) because of the ongoing acupuncture. To be honest, I enjoyed being pregnant because I didn't really experience any of the uncomfortable symptoms. I think what was most helpful was I saw Dr. Wu as an extension of my OB, perinatologist, and geneticist. For any upcoming appointments or for de-briefing after appointments, it was so helpful to have Dr. Wu as another sounding board and advisor. To anyone trying, I give Dr. Wu my highest recommendation! I first found Dr Wu when my husband and I sought fertility help. We believed to be healthy young adults but had failed embryo freezing and a miscarriage. After googling I found Dr Wu and his speciality in fertility and reviews made me interested. 3 years later and Dr Wu has become my confidante, holistic Dr and trusted health care professional. I truly think we diverted IVF from my regular visits with him and his advice. We ended up having a healthy big baby girl and I couldnt have been as healthy as I was without him. We are now onto Baby 2 and I have not been able to see him as regularly since we moved and I feel the difference...I can tell when things in my body get bad (stress etc) and I need to see him asap. Baby 2 could be doing better as well as my pregnancy and I am trying to see him more again. Hormones control so much of our body and Dr Wu knows how to treat and help our body work as optimally as possible. I highly recommend Dr Wu to either avoid invasive procedures or to supplement if already doing a procedure (egg retrieval etc.) I also recommend him for his other specialties...I have seen him for stress and sleep. I am coming off of 15 years of birth control with the last 5 having been on the Depo shot. I cried before our very first session because he is the first person to fully explain why my body wasn’t having regular periods. Before I visited Dr Wu I suffered lots of issues from my cycle and ovulation this year. All the western doctors I visited were either not able to help me with my cycle or simply suggested to take pills, otherwise to take hormonal medicines. I visited many acupuncture shops in LA. I was devastated by how unprofessional these acupuncture places are. When I met Dr Wu, I knew I was finally in good hands. He asked me to quit the hormonal medicines immediately. Explained to me how our body and reproductive system works with hormones. Explained to me how acupuncture stimulates our cerebral cortex, where it boosts our hormone system. He told me it will take at least 2 months to see the difference. Suggested me to visit him 3 times a week. I did. Now it's been 4 months. My cycle has been regular again, and has very good flow. First he doesnt charge for consult which literally NO ONE does so that was the first sign he isnt trying to take advantage of people/money. He gave me so much info none of my other fertility doctors gave me which was shocking i had to see an acupuncturist to learn so much instead of a fertility specialist. He used to work in ivf/obgyn in China so he is VERY knowledgeable and experienced. I can list the many things he told me that I was surprised no other shared but it would be too long. He said if I come three times a week for 3 months my FSH would be more normal. Im 36 years old, unexplained infertility, 10.4 fsh after 3 months i tested again and im at 8.4 what l shouldve been! It definitely works going to him. Ive heard many other miracle stories. He is truly kind, super smart, and not trying to take advantage of people. I saw 2 other acupuncturists that did NOTHING so I was hesitant to go to another one but am so happy I did. He puts in way more needles than other doctors and also uses biofeedback. I tthink everyone should know about him bc he is truly a gem in a sea of money hungry doctors that ignore the cause and just blame everything on your age or whatever else they can think of instead of using their brains and knowledge to help you. I came to him at the right time just before beginning my third IUI at 40. And it's been smooth sailing since then. I had extended my stay because of Dr.Wu and continued getting treatment through out my first trimester.
