A colleague referred me to Dr. Wu after my back surgery because I was still having some pain. Being a physician myself I had modest expectations for this treatment but I now recommend this clinic to all of my friends. I feel an improvement after each session and at times the pain relief is immediate. He uses more needles than other acupuncturists I went to in the past and sometimes I fall asleep during the session. I certainly sleep better on the days I get these treatments, both because I am more relaxed and because of the pain relief.

Dr. Wu is amazing! I credit him for helping me get pregnant. I wouldn’t say I had fertility issues — my OB/GYN said it’s not considered a fertility problem until I had been trying at least a year, but I didn’t want to wait that long — but I figured a little acupuncture couldn’t hurt. From the very first appointment, Dr. Wu gave me very specific instructions on what I needed to do. I also bought some of the pills he offered. It turns out I ovulated later than most people. I feel that my ovulation schedule became more regular with his sessions. Then he even had very specific instructions for my husband, which I won’t get into details here (but my advice is that if you are going to pay Dr. Wu for his expertise, then you should follow his instructions no matter how ridiculous they may sound). After seeing him for 2 months, I got pregnant! Baby is due this summer!

I know fertility can be a big issue with a lot of women, as I have several friends who are going through this struggle right now. My recommendation to those friends is to see Dr. Wu.

Dan is fantastic! I very much enjoy having this option as opposed to Western medicine. I have great trust in Dan, especially, knowing that he is a Western medicine trained OBGYN. He now only does acupuncture specializing in, among other things, women’s health. I’m seeing Dan to optimize the health of my ovaries and hormone balance. I have polycystic ovarian syndrome. I feel more in balance with each visit. It’s such a relief to not have to go to a women’s clinic. I know if I did I would be having to think about a possible drug treatment regimen and possibly even hormone replacement therapy. I firmly agree with stimulating your own body’s ability to produce hormones through acupuncture. Thank you Dan for empowering me in my health decisions in this way.

I have been seeing Dr. Wu for about 5 year since I was in graduate school. I had a bad pain during period and my period is not regular. I went to see my Ob and I tried many ways, like taking birth control pill.But none of them work. I am so desperate. I decided to give Acupuncture a try. Then My friend referred me to Dr. Wu since he has Western Medicine experience as well. I am so lucky to see Dr. Wu. He is very patient and knowledgeable. I was convinced right after the first treatment because the pain was gone right way. It is so amazing!! After those treatments, my symptoms were totally gone. And I got pregnant! Now my daughter is turning to 1 year! Thank you so much Dr. Wu. Although we moved to San Diego, sometime I still prefer drive to LA to see him when I am feeling not right. Great Dr.!

Dan is great. I have been seeing Dan for multiple reasons and all of them have gotten better. He takes the time to understand and listen to everything. Where to begin? Dr. Dan Wu is a genius and I don’t say that lightly. He is a one stop shop. He is a MD of both western and eastern medicine and an acupuncturist. I have been to a few in my lifetime and many years ago I was treated by one who was incredible and eliminated my cramps, but sadly she moved away. It has been over 15 years since I have been to one and I came for his acupuncture facelift. He immediately told me things about my health that were true from looking at my tongue and taking my pulse. He mentioned that my hormones were not balanced and that he could help me. I called my insurance to see if I was covered and I was shocked to see that I was. Dr. Wu takes most insurance companies, a true gift. I have a few medical issues, a long time sufferer of acne and let’s just say “female issues”. I have been misdiagnosed several times over the past years and most recently have had cysts and a thick uterine lining (not good). I have had several ultrasounds (not cheap) and my doctor suggested last October that he may have to do a D&C which is a surgery where they scrape you out and not only is it a big deal but the cysts come back and the uterine lining grows back because you aren’t addressing the real problem. I know I’m giving a lot of details, but it goes to show Dr. Wu’s expertise. I have had 7 sessions with Dr. Wu and when I went for my follow-up at my gyno last week for a follow-up ultrasound, my doctor was shocked to not only see a much younger looking uterus than back in October, he couldn’t believe his eyes when he did not see one cyst and that my lining was perfect. He said that usually never happens and that a few cysts are normal. He even checked my chart he was so baffled. WOW, is all I can say. Dr. Wu does not believe in hormone replacement, he believes in hormone renewal through acupuncture, says your hormones can do the job if you are treated properly. He has helped my digestion and my skin. He treats the whole person. For all the things he is addressing in my care and my friends you would have to seek out several doctors. He can do it all and I mean it all. For the yelper who said he could feel the needles, of course you can feel them but it’s so slight. Also, for the guy that said he doesn’t know if it worked after one time, you can’t cure anything in one time. Dr. Wu believes in several treatments but he gets results. I am sending all my loved ones to him, my father and mother are next. He is so patient and lovely and kind. He just wants to heal you. Even if he tells you what is wrong with you he does it with a smile because he has the answer as well. This is the real deal I feel so lucky that I came across him, I am never letting him go.

I’m so grateful that my friend referred me to Dr. Wu! He has helped me tremendously with my thyroid and menstrual cycle — not to mention that he got rid of a mole. Someone else wrote in their review that he is a “one stop shop” and I agree!

Before going to Dr. Wu, my TSH was 6.4 and I was on 75mcg of Synthroid. After going to him 2 or 3 times per week for about 6 weeks, I was able to lower my Synthroid to a 3/4 dose. Now (about 4 months after starting treatments with him) I’m on only 1/2 of my original dose and my latest TSH result was 2.26 — MUCH better than when I was on the higher dose! I will continue with my treatments until after I am off of Synthroid completely. (My regular primary care physician is impressed with how acupuncture has been helping me and has told me to continue with Dr. Wu, too.)

I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to finally feel “normal.” Mind you, it has been a real acupuncture commitment. Never expect relief after just one or two treatments for the issues I’ve described. However, I’m so thankful that I’ve stuck to it with Dr. Wu because it has been life-changing!

Dr. Wu is also very caring and good-hearted. He really listens to your concerns and takes the time you need to help you. His herbal supplements are great, too. I wish I’d found Dr. Wu in my teens, but at least he is a part of my life now (in my 30’s)! I am a changed woman. Thank you, Dr. Wu!!

I went initially for hormonal maladies, believing that my issues were not issues — just “female” things that you deal with, that’s that and they can’t be helped. Highly recommend Dr. Wu. I have always had an irregular menstrual cycle and haven’t had my period in five months prior to seeing Dr. Wu. Six days after my first visit, I got my period. Pretty good! I see him every week for shoulder pain, sinuses, and hormone treatments. He’s the guy to go to, he knows his stuff.

I have been to many great acupuncturists all over LA and Orange County but Dr. Wu is by far the best. He is a genius. He has been my saving grace for the last 3 months after deciding to quit all steroid ointments, eye drops, etc. He is kind, caring, knowledgeable and a true healer. He has helped my skin tremendously. When I can feel my eczema acting out, after not seeing him for a few days, all I need to do is go see him for a session. I have suffered from eczema as a child and a lot of my reactions are stubborn. Many of the problematic eczema has gone away completely. I know that with a few more treatments, Dr. Wu will have me completely healed. I have been to many dermatologists and allergy doctors and all of them have prescribed steroid creams and they have not worked. Dr. Wu is also an MD so he can read lab reports. He knows more than the average acupuncturist. On top of everything, Dr. Wu makes his own skin healing oil that has worked better than some of the most expensive creams. He is the best acupuncturist around and I trust him more than other doctors, healers and other alternative practitioners around. If you have any health issue, you MUST see Dr. Wu. He will take care of it.

There are a lot of acupuncture places here in Los Angeles. I have been to a few in my life…from ones in Koreatown to West Los Angeles. None of them are better than Dr. Wu. First off, he is not only licensed in Eastern medicine, he is also licensed in Western medicine. His knowledge of the human body on both fronts is amazing. Not only that, he continuously reads on new studies and new alternatives to perfect his craft. The office and equipment is cleaner than any I have seen in my life. This is an important factor since needles are involved. Have you ever gone to your doctors office and saw dust, dirt, and who knows what around the place or on the equipment? You wont find that at Dr. Wu’s office. He cares about cleanliness and protecting his patients. Dr. Wu takes care in making sure I am comfortable and is not offended by my constant questions. I even asked him to teach me some Chinese, which he gladly did. He is very open and honest about how he can help you and what acupuncture can do for your body.

In my case, I was diagnosed with two chronic diseases that cause constant pain, fatigue, and inflammation. I also have a history of issues specific to females. After three treatments, my body began feeling better. The pain decreased and I could feel a more restful peaceful state of my being. I am still having sessions to help with hormone therapy. After three surgeries and lots of pain, I wish I had found Dr. Wu prior to spending hours and days in the hospital. This is a process for each individual person…some might need more sessions than others, depending on what damage you have done to your body over time. I know that my body is and was a mess. But, I am using healthy alternatives, like acupuncture to help realign and regulate the proper flow in my body. I also bought the herbal pills that Dr. Wu created and designed. I found them to be beneficial with no side effects. As for the needles, Dr. Wu uses the best, most thin needles in the field. Of course, you feel them, but there is no pain at all. The electric currency used to stimulate and enhance the treatment is like a massage to the body. I fall asleep every time I am there. My body completely relaxes…before entering, I never even knew I was tense.

I think everyone should go to Dr. Wu for a physical the same way we do our personal physicians. His healing methods combined with his knowledge of Western medicine make him a perfect therapist for those who have chronic diseases, injuries, and especially for females who are having problems specific to us. Please understand that if you go to Dr. Wu, you are getting a medical genius who has a great personality and kind heart. He is a professional who continues to increase his knowledge of both his Western and Eastern craft and enjoys educating his patients. If you consider knowledge power, then Dr. Wu is one of the most powerful people you will ever meet.

I am giving his cards to all my other doctors so that others may be referred to him. If you find something great that could benefit others…it is your duty to spread the good news.

This is just an update since Dr Wu is so incredible. He has restored so many of my clients hormones back to normal and fixed other ailments.
I’m not one for going to the Doctor ever since I feel Western medicine is so pharmaceuticallly driven but if you have any pain, sickness, ailment I HIGHLY suggest to go see Dr Wu.
