A colleague referred me to Dr. Wu after my back surgery because I was still having some pain. Being a physician myself I had modest expectations for this treatment but I now recommend this clinic to all of my friends. I feel an improvement after each session and at times the pain relief is immediate. He uses more needles than other acupuncturists I went to in the past and sometimes I fall asleep during the session. I certainly sleep better on the days I get these treatments, both because I am more relaxed and because of the pain relief.

Dr. Wu is amazing! I credit him for helping me get pregnant. I wouldn’t say I had fertility issues — my OB/GYN said it’s not considered a fertility problem until I had been trying at least a year, but I didn’t want to wait that long — but I figured a little acupuncture couldn’t hurt. From the very first appointment, Dr. Wu gave me very specific instructions on what I needed to do. I also bought some of the pills he offered. It turns out I ovulated later than most people. I feel that my ovulation schedule became more regular with his sessions. Then he even had very specific instructions for my husband, which I won’t get into details here (but my advice is that if you are going to pay Dr. Wu for his expertise, then you should follow his instructions no matter how ridiculous they may sound). After seeing him for 2 months, I got pregnant! Baby is due this summer!

I know fertility can be a big issue with a lot of women, as I have several friends who are going through this struggle right now. My recommendation to those friends is to see Dr. Wu

Dan is fantastic! I very much enjoy having this option as opposed to Western medicine. I have great trust in Dan, especially, knowing that he is a Western medicine trained OBGYN. He now only does acupuncture specializing in, amongother things, women’s health. I’m seeing Dan to optimize the health of my ovaries and hormone balance. I have polycystic ovarian syndrome. I feel more in balance with each visit. It’s such a relief to not have to go to a women’s clinic. I know if I did I would be having to think about a possible drug treatment regimen and possibly even hormone replacement therapy. I firmly agree with stimulating your own body’s ability to produce hormones through acupuncture. Thank you Dan for empowering me in my health decisions in this way.

Yan L.I have been seeing Dr. Wu for about 5 year since I was in graduate school. I had a bad pain during period and my period is not regular. I went to see my Ob and I tried many ways, like taking birth control pill.But none of them work. I am so desperate. I decided to give Acupuncture a try. Then My friend referred me to Dr. Wu since he has Western Medicine experience as well. I am so lucky to see Dr. Wu. He is very patient and knowledgeable. I was convinced right after the first treatment because the pain was gone right way. It is so amazing!! After those treatments, my symptoms were totally gone. And I got pregnant! Now my daughter is turning to 1 year! Thank you so much Dr. Wu. Although we moved to San Diego, sometime I still prefer drive to LA to see him when I am feeling not right. Great Dr.!

Dan is great. I have been seeing Dan for multiple reasons and all of them have gotten better. He takes the time to understand and listen to everything. Acupuncture has helped me tremendously I wish everyone would try it as opposed to western medicine. It’s is 100% safe and natural, so you have nothing to lose.

As a registered nurse I have seen every specialist, only been put on medications for temporary symptom relief. Dr. Wu has helped me with my IBD, depression, and fertility. I am off most medications and feel better all around. He also helped my boyfriend quit smoking. I highly recommend him!

Where to begin? Dr. Dan Wu is a genius and I don’t say that lightly. He is a one stop shop. He is a MD of both western and eastern medicine and an acupuncturist. I have been to a few in my lifetime and many years ago I was treated by one who was incredible and eliminated my cramps, but sadly she moved away. It has been over 15 years since I have been to one and I came for his acupuncture facelift. He immediately told me things about my health that were true from looking at my tongue and taking my pulse. He mentioned that my hormones were not balanced and that he could help me. I called my insurance to see if I was covered and I was shocked to see that I was. Dr. Wu takes most insurance companies, a true gift. I have a few medical issues, a long time sufferer of acne and let’s just say “female issues”. I have been misdiagnosed several times over the past years and most recently have had cysts and a thick uterine lining (not good). I have had several ultrasounds (not cheap) and my doctor suggested last October that he may have to do a D&C which is a surgery where they scrape you out and not only is it a big deal but the cysts come back and the uterine lining grows back because you aren’t addressing the real problem. I know I’m giving a lot of details, but it goes to show Dr. Wu’s expertise. I have had 7 sessions with Dr. Wu and when I went for my follow-up at my gyno last week for a follow-up ultrasound, my doctor was shocked to not only see a much younger looking uterus than back in October, he couldn’t believe his eyes when he did not see one cyst and that my lining was perfect. He said that usually never happens and that a few cysts are normal. He even checked my chart he was so baffled. WOW, is all I can say. Dr. Wu does not believe in hormone replacement, he believes in hormone renewal through acupuncture, says your hormones can do the job if you are treated properly. He has helped my digestion and my skin. He treats the whole person. For all the things he is addressing in my care and my friends you would have to seek out several doctors. He can do it all and I mean it all. For the yelper who said he could feel the needles, of course you can feel them but it’s so slight. Also, for the guy that said he doesn’t know if it worked after one time, you can’t cure anything in one time. Dr. Wu believes in several treatments but he gets results. I am sending all my loved ones to him, my father and mother are next. He is so patient and lovely and kind. He just wants to heal you. Even if he tells you what is wrong with you he does it with a smile because he has the answer as well. This is the real deal I feel so lucky that I came across him, I am never letting him go.

I’m so grateful that my friend referred me to Dr. Wu! He has helped me tremendously with my thyroid and menstrual cycle — not to mention that he got rid of a mole. Someone else wrote in their review that he is a”one stop shop” and I agree!

Before going to Dr. Wu, my TSH was 6.4 and I was on 75mcg of Synthroid. After going to him 2 or 3 times per week for about 6 weeks, I was able to lower my Synthroid to a 3/4 dose. Now (about 4 months after starting treatments with him) I’m on only 1/2 of my original dose and my latest TSH result was 2.26 — MUCH better than when I was on the higher dose! I will continue with my treatments until after I am off of Synthroid completely. (My regular primary care physician is impressed with how acupuncture has been helping me and has told me to continue with Dr. Wu, too.)

I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to finally feel “normal.” Mind you, it has been a real acupuncture commitment. Never expect relief after just one or two treatments for the issues I’ve described. However, I’m so thankful that I’ve stuck to it with Dr. Wu because it has been life-changing!

Dr. Wu is also very caring and good-hearted. He really listens to your concerns and takes the time you need to help you. His herbal supplements are great, too. I wish I’d found Dr. Wu in my teens, but at least he is a part of my life now (in my 30’s)! I am a changed woman. Thank you, Dr. Wu!!

I cannot speak highly enough of Dan. I feel he is a true healer and a wonderful Dr. and above all he cares! I went initially for hormonal maladies, believing that my issues were not issues — just “female” things that you deal with, that’s that and they can’t be helped. After just two treatments years of monthly, nauseating migraines went away. He continues to astonish me. I am so grateful Dan, thank you.

I got very serious shoulder/back pain weeks ago, and right after the treatment by Dr. Wu, the pain got much relieved~~The place is nice, quiet and comfort; and Dr. Wu is very patient and helpful. If there are more problems, I will definitely go to New Body Acupuncture!

Highly recommend Dr. Wu. I have always had an irregular menstrual cycle and haven’t had my period in five months prior to seeing Dr. Wu. Six days after my first visit, I got my period. Pretty good! I see him every week for shoulder pain, sinuses, and hormone treatments. He’s the guy to go to, he knows his stuff.

I have been to many great acupuncturists all over LA and Orange County but Dr. Wu is by far the best. He is a genius. He has been my saving grace for the last 3 months after deciding to quit all steroid ointments, eye drops, etc. He is kind, caring, knowledgeable and a true healer. He has helped my skin tremendously. When I can feel my eczema acting out, after not seeing him for a few days, all I need to do is go see him for a session. I have suffered from eczema as a child and a lot of my reactions are stubborn. Many of the problematic eczema has gone away completely. I know that with a few more treatments, Dr. Wu will have me completely healed. I have been to many dermatologists and allergy doctors and all of them have prescribed steroid creams and they have not worked. Dr. Wu is also an MD so he can read lab reports. He knows more than the average acupuncturist. On top of everything, Dr. Wu makes his own skin healing oil that has worked better than some of the most expensive creams. He is the best acupuncturist around and I trust him more than other doctors, healers and other alternative practitioners around. If you have any health issue, you MUST see Dr. Wu. He will take care of it.

There are a lot of acupuncture places here in Los Angeles. I have been to a few in my life…from ones in Koreatown to West Los Angeles. None of them are better than Dr. Wu. First off, he is not only licensed in Eastern medicine, he is also licensed in Western medicine. His knowledge of the human body on both fronts is amazing. Not only that, he continuously reads on new studies and new alternatives to perfect his craft. The office and equipment is cleaner than any I have seen in my life. This is an important factor since needles are involved. Have you ever gone to your doctors office and saw dust, dirt, and who knows what around the place or on the equipment? You wont find that at Dr. Wu’s office. He cares about cleanliness and protecting his patients. Dr. Wu takes care in making sure I am comfortable and is not offended by my constant questions. I even asked him to teach me some Chinese, which he gladly did. He is very open and honest about how he can help you and what acupuncture can do for your body.

In my case, I was diagnosed with two chronic diseases that cause constant pain, fatigue, and inflammation. I also have a history of issues specific to females. After three treatments, my body began feeling better. The pain decreased and I could feel a more restful peaceful state of my being. I am still having sessions to help with hormone therapy. After three surgeries and lots of pain, I wish I had found Dr. Wu prior to spending hours and days in the hospital. This is a process for each individual person…some might need more sessions than others, depending on what damage you have done to your body over time. I know that my body is and was a mess. But, I am using healthy alternatives, like acupuncture to help realign and regulate the proper flow in my body. I also bought the herbal pills that Dr. Wu created and designed. I found them to be beneficial with no side effects. As for the needles, Dr. Wu uses the best, most thin needles in the field. Of course, you feel them, but there is no pain at all. The electric currency used to stimulate and enhance the treatment is like a massage to the body. I fall asleep every time I am there. My body completely relaxes…before entering, I never even knew I was tense.

I think everyone should go to Dr. Wu for a physical the same way we do our personal physicians. His healing methods combined with his knowledge of Western medicine make him a perfect therapist for those who have chronic diseases, injuries, and especially for females who are having problems specific to us. Please understand that if you go to Dr. Wu, you are getting a medical genius who has a great personality and kind heart. He is a professional who continues to increase his knowledge of both his Western and Eastern craft and enjoys educating his patients. If you consider knowledge power, then Dr. Wu is one of the most powerful people you will ever meet.

I am giving his cards to all my other doctors so that others may be referred to him. If you find something great that could benefit others…it is your duty to spread the good news.

I’m really glad and satisfied by the treatment. I had a Bell’s palsy and it was showing in my face after all the medical treatment i got for a month and when I started the acupuncture it shows right away from the first session until the third and it’s gone, i’m extremely relieved of the stress i used to face when i used to look at my face but thank god now its like 95% gone in one week.

Dr. Wu is a dream! I truly believe he is a genius in his field. I recommend him highly. He is extremely knowledgeable and patient enough to explain everything thoroughly. And I always have a ton of questions. It is very clear he truly enjoys what he does! I’ve always suffered from acne. After just a few sessions I realized that I did not have any breakouts. None! As an actress, clear skin is extremely important. I had previously tried everything, short of accutane, to heal my skin. I’ve been seeing Dr. Wu off and on for about 6 months. I wish I could see him more, but work takes me out of town a lot. He has helped me immensely with not only acne, but jaw pain and an awful knee injury. He always goes above and beyond. For him and the work that he does I am extremely grateful. I’ve never written a long review on yelp. But I figured it may be a great way to spread the word about this awesome healer! I started doing acupuncture in hopes that it would be an “added benefit” to the care I was receiving at a nearby fertility clinic. I highly recommend Dr. Wu! Unlike another acupuncturist I saw for infertility, he did not pressure me to buy herbs or supplements, and he explained clearly why he didn’t think I needed them. Within three months, my antral follicle count had doubled. Within five months (and with only a 4 percent chance in my age group), I became pregnant. I’m currently 33 weeks along. I can’t thank Dr. Wu enough.

Dr Dan is great.
I started coming for my Accupuncture session to treat my menstrual pains, fibroids issue and bleeding between periods . Right after my first session,
l felt a relief; like I was just walking up from a deep sleep. I left energized and pain free.I continue my Acupuncture sessions, and my bleeding has decreased as well as the bloating from the fibroids. Dr Dan is very patient and helpful and will definitely recommend him for Accupuncture.

I was tired all the time and not feeling like my old self so I explored yelp for an acupuncturist. I found Dr Dan and based on his reviews decided to give his practice a try. After two weeks of treatment, I noticed an obvious improvement in my energy and digestion. Dr Dan is super knowledgeable and he really helps people, quickly. My husband has been seeing Dr Dan as well. He had some neck and back discomfort and in just a few weeks, he has also noticed an improvement. We highly recommend Dr Dan!

First let me start by saying I rarely write yelp reviews, but Dr. Dan Wu deserves one!
To make a long story short I decided to start trying a more natural approach to regulate my hormonal imbalance.  After only ONE appointment with Dr. Dan Wu, I had the most “normal” cycle I have had in a year and my symptoms were greatly reduced! After seeing several doctors and trying synthetic hormones that only made the symptoms worse over the last year, I was beyond thrilled with the results! I am now continuing treatment with Dr. Wu and feeling hopeful again.
During a treatment, Dr. Wu uses a combination of traditional acupuncture, electro acupuncture and cupping. It is surprising how relaxing it can be.
I saw one other acupuncturist weekly for a month who only used needles (and far less needles) along with herbs and I saw no difference in my cycle or symptoms. I know acupuncture takes time and many people say give it up to 3 months to see a difference which is why I was even more shocked to see such a change after one appointment with Dr. Wu.
Lastly, Dr. Wu goes above and beyond to work with your insurance. He truly puts the patient above money which is incredibly rare. I am so glad I found him! I highly recommend giving acupuncture with him a try!!!!

Dr. Wu is absolutely amazing. Every time I leave the clinic I feel wonderful. I have had tinnitus in my ear and he was immediately able to bring me relief, he is very knowledgable on all aspects of traditional Chinese medicine and I would highly recommend his services for anyone who has not yet tried acupuncture or who is interested in doing so.

I was having bleeding between my periods and I had been looking for a way to make it stop!I had been to my well renowned OBGYN who told me I should have surgery to make it stop- but the surgery option was incredibly expensive (for those of us who don’t have fabulous insurance) and could leave scar tissue behind- which is not great if I am wanting to get pregnant! And- how it would be a temporary cure for a larger problem. In my thinking it is better to get to the root of the cause and find a long term solution!
So, I feel very blessed and lucky to have come across the New Body Acupuncture website and to find Dr. Wu.
After 11 treatments the bleeding I have had for years stopped. Finally I am only bleeding during my period. Dr. Wu is so patient, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable.

My first appointment with him I told him that I don’t like acupuncture- the needles- the whole thing- but he has certainly changed my mind. Now if I go in tired I come out refreshed and happy, and people see the difference instantly. (just a wonderful side benefit from stopping my bleeding!!)

I really can’t recommend him high enough. I wish that I could help spread the word to let all women who have gone through what I have gone through know that there are other options besides hormone drugs and surgeries! And it costs less!

OOh! I almost forgot! he also took a mole that I have had on my neck off. Easy breezy. Amazing!

So, yeah- he is awesome, his treatments work, and you can feel safe and secure through your healing process.

I started going to Dr. Wu last summer for a very bad case of Eczema. I had been to other acupuncturists, as well as a conventional dermatologist and nothing had worked. Finally in the summer, my Eczema was so bad that I was miserable. It had spread from my under arms to my forearms, legs and abdomen and I couldn’t stop itching. A friend recommended Dr. Wu and I was desperate for some relief. Long story short, after my first treatment I already noticed a difference and not only that but I also felt totally relaxed, almost as if I had gotten a great massage. I continued treatment 2-3 times/week for about 3 months. My eczema is now completely under control; it’s disappeared from my underarms, abdomen and legs and only appears slightly on my forearms when I haven’t been taking care of myself and/or haven’t seen Dr. Wu in more than a month. He also helped me to balance my hormones and get my cycle back on track as well as to help me heal my shoulder after a car accident…he does it all! If I could I would pay Dr. Wu to be on call for me at all times:) He is extremely knowledgeable in both Eastern and Western medicine and I truly believe there isn’t an ailment that he can’t help you with. Love, love, love Dr. Wu and would recommend him anytime to anyone!

Dr Dan Wu is the best! I came to Dr. Wu for a particular reason that had to do with terrible allergies. I had been recommended to Dr. Wu by a friend of mine who suggested I might try acupuncture. First off not only is Dr. Wu an incredible acupuncture Dr. with a caring and very friendly and extremely nice disposition he is also a MD in western medicine. When I filled out the paperwork that was first given to diagnose my problem I was inspired to fill out the whole questionaire on some of the other physical problems I had been experiencing. Dr. Wu immediately knew what was wrong with me and treated me for much more than I originally had come come for, I had needles from head to toe… and gave me an amazing deal, for the work he has done. He explained to me that it is easy to get an accupuncture license but quite a different story than the training he has had in China. 5 years and also his knowledge of western medicine. He told me that within 5 treatments I would begin to feel better but within 20, It should be cured. I have had 9 treatments and already I am feeling great! Allergies have almost completely gone away.  In the process of moving the the other day I pulled out my back quite severely…I mean I could barely move, seeing as how Dr. Wu AKA Dr. Feelgood was treating me I figured lets work on the back! He said in 3 treatments it should be almost gone and I’ll be darned if he wasn’t right still a bit sore but in 3 days feel amazingly better… down from 12 advil to 2 in 3 days! Anyway…all I can say is Dr. Wu Rocks and genuinely is all about healing the whole body properly with real traditional Chinese Medicine…So needless to say if you want the real deal…not some wanna be guy sticking pins in you to kill the pain..GO TO DR. WU….AKA Dr. Feelgood!!!

Dr, Wu’s prescribed herb formula and reversed my mom’s symptom.  Magic! How can the hormone level get reverse to normal once it goes beyond?  My mom was complaining chills even it is very hot in summer time in California. The report showed the hormone (TSH) level is over the high ends and we know that is one of the indication for chill.  While I do not what her to start right away with hormone medication, I asked Dr. Wu for help. I would be happy if I can stop it getting worse.  We tried Dr. Wu’s prescription about a year and until recently, magic! I can’t believe the hormone level is normal.  My mom denied that she took the supplement medication from her physician because I wasn’t believing the result.  Other than Dr. Wu’s herbs, I am also very cautious on her mood keeping (i.e. stop asking her too much, pay attention to her needs, stop talking back to her …etc.).  Then, be patient.  I want to write this up again to make sure people can see it.  Don’t know why it is not shown previously when I visit the site later. So I am going to try one more time.

If you have women health issues or have difficulty getting pregnant, do not miss this one.

My search for acupuncture was originally for fertility purpose. We had been trying for almost 1.5 years after we lost first one due to genetic abnormality. Although friends had told me to get help from TCM(traditional Chinese medicine) and 2 fertility clinics I was interested in both recommended acupuncture to increase successful IVF result, I never seriously considered it. My periods had been pretty heavy for 3, 4 years with a total flow from 110-160 ml which got me “tied” to bathroom on heavy flow days, regardless the length was usually 5 to 6 days. This April when I experienced a lengthy period (up to 12 days) and super super heavy flow that freaked me out thinking something had grown inside my uterus and was bleeding out I went OB/GYN for a checkup through ultrasound and hysteroscopy. Results all came back normal with nothing structurally wrong with my body. Dr. told me what happened to me (super heavy period up to 200 ml and lengthy period) was a result of hormone functioning due to my age and taking birth control pills was the treatment. However, that was against my TTC purpose. He also mentioned that IVF (which I don’t consider) would be the only choice if I want to be pregnant. Left with no choices TCM came to my mind again as western medicine apparently could not help me. Dr. Wu’s New Body Acupuncture came across my search results and after reading some successful stories on his website, I decided to give it a try. Dr. Wu took my history, listened to my concerns and symptoms, checked my pulse, tongue and maybe some others, then explained to me that what I experienced (could not get pregnant for 1.5 year, heavy flow and lengthy period) was the result of hormone issues, which consisted with OB/GYN’s finding. My first session started on 5/12/2018. Two weeks later I had my period with a flow reduced from 200 ml in April to 133 ml. The following 6 cycles my total flow was 68, 75, 68, 83, 67.5 and 67.5 ml respectively. I was impressed by such a remarkable improvement! It has brought my life style back to normal during period days. I don’t have to worry about not having immediate access to a restroom (e.g. taking an 1.5 hour+ car ride) anymore and I can continue my work for a good 3 to 5 hours straight without interruptions just to use restroom to take care of period. My period length has got back to a normal 5- to 6-day. And it is not just that, the discomfort I usually had during period has diminished gradually and eventually gone now.
Dr. told me my hormones are working properly now. I noticed that my basal body temperature during luteal phase (between OV and period) does rise fast now and has reached the highest level since my previous pregnancy.

Dr. Wu was an OB/GYN practitioner but then decided to study TCM as he realized there are many things western medicine cannot solve (e.g. my situation). I feel he is very knowledgeable, intelligent, and a thinker who likes to think deeper and beyond the scope. He has such a great patience which you don’t get easily from other doctor visits. He listens to you (and your concerns), answers your questions, and explains to you how our body works. He also advices things to do and not to do to become healthier. He takes care of his patients’ health just like a devoting gardener taking care of his plants. He is very easy to talk to which I believe makes most his patients comfortable and stress-free during visits. Most of all, his treatment is so effective. His treatment really helps my body do what it is supposed to do as opposed to having medication does the work for the body.
I wanted to write a strong review when I have become pregnant. However, I have already benefited tremendously from Dr. Wu’s help to the extent that I feel I should take on the mission now to spread the words so people get to know him sooner than later.
If you have female health/period issues (fibroids, irregular period, no periods, troublesome period etc.) or have difficulty getting pregnant (low AMH, PCOS, unsuccessful IVFs), and western medicine have not been able to help with those, Dr. Wu is definitely worth trying. I strongly recommend go to him first before taking on any expensive medical procedure. You would be amazed by what he can do and the effectiveness of his treatment just like I am.

Dr. Wu is magical!!! I diagnosed PCOS and one of the best doctor from Beverly Hills Women Care couldn’t help. He asked me to wait until my next cycle. I haven’t had my periods for 4 months though.

The second day I had my period after Dr. Wu’s acupuncture and now I’m pregnant after one month seeing Dr. Wu. He is magical!!!! I can’t believe myself.

He is very caring and professional. He is the best doctor!!!!!

Dr. Wu is an amazing doctor! I have been going to him for almost one year and feel great after my sessions. He is very accommodating with your schedule, kind, and funny. He is highly knowledgeable in all aspects of the human body. He helped me a lot with my fertility, anxiety, and overall well being!!

I feel very comfortable when visiting his practice and cannot give enough of a good review. If you are looking for an honest acupuncturist, look no further, Dr. Wu is the best !!!

He doesn’t push herbs and other pills on you unless you really need it. He also gives great nutritional advice. If you have issues with fertility, irregular menstruation, anxiety, hormone issues, or anything else, see Dr. Wu.

Dr. Wu is a miracle worker! I’m a 39 yo female experiencing infertility after my first child.  I had low AMH (undetectable) and high FSH (31) levels and after trying IUI, IVF and multiple other acupuncturists to no avail – Dr. Wu helped me get pregnant within a month of seeing him regularly 3 days/wk.  He is incredibly knowledgeable and has wonderful bedside manners! I would recommend him highly if you are experiencing any fertility issues! There’s hope!

I am convinced that Dr. Wu is part Shaman…. he is also extremely kind and totally on board with you and your journey – whatever that may be. I sought out acupuncture to assist me in getting pregnant with my second child.  After breastfeeding my first, I was having trouble with my cycle (having always been pretty irregular) and hormones.  Dr. Wu got me on track and I am currently entering my 2nd trimester – naturally pregnant at 39!

Dr. Wu is the absolute best. I came to him after suffering from severe endometriosis for many years, which was causing my quality of life to totally drop. I had never done acupuncture before, so I wasn’t sure what would happen or how the process would go, but after being so fed up with every other failed option, I thought that this couldn’t hurt. When I arrived, Dr. Wu was incredibly warm, kind, and understanding. He talked to me at length about my existing condition, talked to me about why I may be experiencing my issues, and talked to me about what acupuncture actually does. He also seemed not at all shook by my diagnosis – it was like he had seen it before many times, treated it before for many years and on many patients, knew it like the back of his hand, etc. He was completely confident that he could help me over time. I was doubtful because after many different doctor visits, I was struggling to find anything that was even slightly helping me. However, after one session – honestly, it was just one – the pain and discomfort I was feeling significantly dropped. I literally could not believe it. It was truly a miracle! I come by for acupuncture weekly now in hopes of continuing to see success over time…so far, I’m only getting better, which is incredible. Dr Dan Wu is a true angel! I had hard time getting pregnant and miscarried several times. So I heard that acupuncture could help. I went to some other acupuncturists and I didn’t enjoy it at all. I had pain and felt very uncomfortable. Then I came across Dr Dan’s profile here on yelp. When I visited him I immediately felt how professional and knowledgeable he is. First time doing acupuncture and Dr. Wu made it painless, informative and just so incredibly comfortable. This man is a honest, kind, helpful doctor that is so hard to find these days but I highly find him  to be the best in fertility, pain, women’s health, eczema, and much much more. He helped me understand my cycle, and I cannot wait to see him again when I’m back in LA area. He also took in my husband last minute notice as he was having shoulder pain. I have been a patient of Dr. Wu’s for more than a year now. Originally I started seeing him for neck and back pain. He helped me to recover and heal my symptoms within a short period of time. Several months later I decided to undergo egg freezing and

I started seeing Dr. Wu as a recommendation from my fertility specialist. Dr. Wu not only has excellent bed side manner but he is extremely knowledgeable of eastern medicine. I was able to achieve the results I was looking for and was able to freeze high quality eggs as a direct result of the treatment I received from Dr. Wu. After having gone through the hormone shots during the egg freezing process my hormones were all out of whack after the process and I needed to return to Accupuncture once again. I was experiencing spotting in between periods but after only a few weeks of Accupuncture I returned back to my regular cycle. I trust Dr. Wu whether it’s for back pain or fertility and I highly recommend him to others in the community.

My gastroenterologist recommended that I try acupuncture to deal with acid reflux symptoms that I had been experiencing since February of 2018. I began going to sessions with Dr. Wu in November 2018. I started by going twice a week and found the sessions to be tremendously helpful. Within a couple of weeks I no longer felt discomfort and I was able to get off my medication (Omeprazole and Zantac). At the same time, my husband and I began trying to conceive. I had been experiencing very heavy periods (lasting 7 days) that were accompanied by painful cramps, back aches, and a tingling feeling down my legs. I saw my gynecologist in September after feeling pain in my pelvic area. She found 2 ovarian cysts. I returned in December (after weekly sessions with Dr. Wu) for a follow up ultrasound, and my doctor found that the cysts had dissolved. My cycles were also lighter and I did not have cramping. I got pregnant in January. We had only been trying for about 4 months, so I can completely attribute it to acupuncture, but given how much my cycle improved, I can’t help but feel that it helped!

Overall, I found acupuncture with Dr. Wu to be very calming and relaxing; I often fell asleep during sessions!

I am a 44 year old female who has been in the midst of trying to have a baby. At 42 I had my first egg retrieval which resulted in 1 successful embryo. Unfortunately, when it was implanted it was ectopic. After all the time to heal and start over again I was all of a sudden 44. Everything you read and everything the doctor tells you is that your chances a successful pregnancy fall off a cliff. So in May 2019 I had another egg retrieval that resulted in no good embryos. So then I decided I to make some changes went to acupuncture usually 3 times a week. The doctor is the best and very supportive. I ate a plant based diet, stopped drinking alcohol and prayed a lot more! Happy to report we ended up with one good embryo that will be transferred later this year. Acupuncture is truly an experience like none other and really helps get your mind and body right.

Thank God I found this place through yelp… My husband and I, have been trying for a while to have a baby. Last year I had Blighted Ovum, and I was looking alternative to cure my problem, I came across to read the reviews about people trying to get pregnant and having problems to get pregnant. Dr Wu explained it to me that I need to fix my hormones to improve my eggs quality. So I asked my husband to get acupuncture too, we did it once a week for 4 months, and I took like 3 months break because of my busy schedule. Last January I missed my period and I took some pregnancy test, it was a fading red line, and I repeat it again every single morning, because I couldn’t believe it, until its solid blue line, I called my doctor to get appointment, and from the blood test they said I’m pregnant. I can’t recommend Dr. Wu enough! I started to see Dr. Wu regularly after my husband and I had been trying to get pregnant for about 1 year with no success. My fertility tests showed that I had a very low AMH for my age, meaning that I likely had low ovarian reserve. I was pretty devastated to say the least, and turned to acupuncture to accompany my fertility treatments. From my first visit, Dr. Wu made me feel so at ease and he took the time to answer all my questions. Having a background as an OB/Gyn in Western Medicine, in addition to his Eastern Medicine training meant that he really understood everything that was going on with my body. I was able to share my test results from my fertility treatments, and he would help me understand them better, and give me advice. I ended up needing to have a uterine polyp removed, and got pregnant right away, which also happened to be right after my final acupuncture treatment with Dr. Wu! Of course I can’t say for sure that the acupuncture is what did it, but I can say that I always felt SO good after my sessions. My body felt relaxed and balanced, and I was never in pain. I truly believe that Dr. Wu’s treatments helped my body to prepare for pregnancy. If you are struggling with fertility, do yourself a favor and see Dr. Wu. You won’t regret it!

Dr Dan Wu is a true angel. He is very knowledgeable and caring. I have been seeing him for many years now. He has helped me with pain management and he even helped me getting pregnant a few years ago with my first child. This review is long overdue, and I finally found time to create this yelp account to write a review for Dr. Wu.

He is an amazing doctor, knowledgable, patient, and encouraging.
I travel a good amount due to my husband’s work, and after two miscarriages and a few doctors I thought I was finished.
I was in LA for a short period of time ( 4 month) and 2.5 month into acupuncture session I got pregnant. I had extended my stay because of Dr.Wu and continued getting treatment through out my first trimester. I had no complication, no morning sickness… it was as smooth of a pregnancy one could ask for!

I have a 1 year old son now… he is smart and super healthy.
I am so thankful that I met doctor Wu and have him as my doctor.

Doctor wu will give you instructions, and if you follow his instructions, you WILL get pregnant!

My overall mood has lifted while I was getting his treatment, I believe he works magic on balancing hormones. He brought light into my life!

Dr. Wu is an amazing acupuncturist! His background in both western and eastern medicine really helped me understand about hormones and the importance of balancing them out to create the right environment to get pregnant. My husband and I tried for years, and had gone through IVF and it didn’t work. I believe that Dr. Wu was the reason how we we finally got pregnant! Update on my pregnancy… Finally, I reached 8 months of my pregnancy now, so happy and feeling blessed. On my 2nd trimester, I went back to see Dr. Wu on my 26 weeks pregnancy, because I didn’t passed my 1st glucose test, I called him the next day to get the treatment, before my 2nd glucose test, I did a couple treatment, and Thank God I passed my 2nd glucose test!! I don’t have gestational diabetic, thanks to Dr Wu, if not I will have to watch my sugar level every time I eat.  Now on my 3rd Trimester I’m dealing with sciatic nerve pain, and pelvic griddle pain 🙁 so painful I couldn’t even walk and sleep at night, I did a couple treatment and now it’s getting better, I can walk and sleep better. Doctor Wu helping me starts from the beginning before I got pregnant and through out my pregnancy. Thank you Dr Wu! I really appreciate your help.

Dr. Dan helped me and my wife get pregnant after 2 years of frustration and failed efforts elsewhere. And just last month we gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. We are incredibly grateful to him and attribute our success to his work.

Outside of this pregnancy challenge, we had no preconditions  and lived a very healthy lifestyle. After a year of trying just about every other method (including western medicine) we tried acupuncture. My sperm quality results were a quarter of the healthy threshold when I first started and after 4 months of 2x/week sessions I tested at 10x the threshold. My western medicine docs were completely astonished. To address concerns regarding a false positive test I re-tested and achieved the same result.

Give Dr. Dan a try. It may seem unconventional but I trusted in the process and am convinced that he helped us overcome this very tough challenge.

Dr Wu really is incredible. I have struggled with fibroids for YEARS. I am young, athletic, eat healthy, yet I had 3 fibroids so big and so painful, I had to have surgery to get them removed. After the surgery I cut down on meat, sugar, dairy but… barely 3 years later, the heavy bleeding, pain, and random spotting started all over again. I went to see my OGBYN and he confirmed that another one started growing. I was so frustrated and upset. The only option 2 different doctors gave me was surgery but I can’t keep cutting myself open every 3 years. That’s nuts. I’m 30! I started looking into alternative medicine, just to see. I had nothing to loose. I found Dr Wu on yelp, told him my issues and he gave me these herbs to take. I’ve been taking them for 6 months now. I have no idea if my fibroid has shrunk because I have not had a chance to get an ultrasound from my OBGYN, but what I can tell you is that I have ZERO pain and ZERO spotting. ZERO. My period comes every month like clock work for the first time in my life, and lasts 7 days as if it’s being turned on then turned off by a switch. It’s insane. I can hardly believe it and it’s my body. HAHAH!
I hope to update my review when I schedule an ultrasound. I’m so curious to see if my fibroid has shrunk. I’m just happy to be living a pain free life for the first time in a long time thanks to Dr Wu.

Dr. Wu is a miracle worker! As a 42 year old woman, I did not think I would ever have a baby naturally but Dr. Wu changed that and I am now a proud mama to my first natural-born healthy daughter who is now about 6 months old. I came to Dr. Wu after my first IVF attempt failed (and after over a year of infertility before that), and was told by IVF doctors that the cause was my very “low quality” eggs and that this problem was irreversible due to my age — but Dr. Wu proved that wrong. He asked me to try acupuncture sessions for about 3 months (the time for a new egg to grow) before my next IVF session to improve my egg quality and for a better chance of success at such a costly procedure. He also noted that many of his patients get pregnant naturally by then, but I never really thought could happen for me. Almost exactly 3 months of sessions later, just as he predicted, I got my first pregnancy positive, and 9 months after that gave birth to my daughter. It was so effortless! I had sessions during my pregnancy as well and my pregnancy itself was mostly free of issues and complications.

I am now a firm believer of the power of fertility-based acupuncture. It is truly an incredible procedure. One of my friends around the same time also got pregnant and gave birth to a healthy baby in a different state; she was my age and had suffered a very late and traumatic miscarriage previously, which she was told was related to her IVF procedure, but this time she also had regular acupuncture treatments for her successful all-natural pregnancy and birth. It’s an underrated procedure that works miracles and is far superior to the overly invasive, exhausting and often demoralizing IVF experience.

Dr. Wu’s testimonials and rate of success speak for themselves – his procedure truly works! I had referred another friend of mine to him, and while she had been suffering from infertility for some time, she got pregnant after just one session.

I would recommend Dr. Wu to anyone who has had IVF failures, been told they are too old or that their egg quality is too low, or has other undiagnosed infertility issues. The costs to your body, wallet and peace of mind are substantially less than multiple rounds of IVF, but these acupuncture sessions also offer many other noticeable benefits and improvement in health and feeling of well-being regardless, so they are not wasted resources even while waiting to get pregnant. The investment is undeniably worth it. And the benefits of having a baby naturally are also undeniable.

I cannot recommend enough acupuncture in general and Dr. Wu specifically for all those other women similarly situated as me. Had I known about this secret earlier, I could’ve saved a lot of heartache and money (about $20k, uninsured) and avoided those awful routines (injecting yourself with hormones repeatedly for weeks) in moving rotely with the herd on the IVF route. I hope this testimonial helps others make this decision earlier than I did, conserve their resources for other needs, and find joy and peace of mind in a happy, healthy, natural born baby like I did– with the critical assistance of Dr. Wu throughout the whole process!

Dr. Wu is truly heaven sent! I’m lucky someone referred me to him because he has truly changed my life. I’ve been seeing him regularly for almost a year now, and he has fixed/is fixing many health issues other doctors simply said there’s nothing I can do anything about.
I’ve lost aprox 10 pounds in addition to all the other health affects.
You do have to be consistent and really go to him weekly to see results, but I go with pleasure. Sessions are relaxing and I feel great after a visit!
He really cares about his patients and you can really see that. He is a sweet, smart man and you can ask him any question and he responds with quality knowledgeable and experience. I cannot recommend him enough, I’ve already sent all my friends and family to him.

After a miscarriage in June and my husband and I being 35 and 36, respectively,  we were discouraged after trying to get pregnant for 9 months. My friend urged me to go to acupuncture. After one month of acupuncture, we got pregnant naturally by going to Dr. Wu 3x a week!! We were thrilled that this happened naturally when the first time we used Clomid to help us along. I can not say enough good things about Dr. Wu, after briefing looking into IVF, I felt so lucky to not have to go through with that and be able to do this naturally with Dr. Wu. I am now 16 weeks along, I have done extensive testing and our baby girl is healthy and is on her way this June! I just want to say how much I appreciate Dr. Wu. He is a very knowledgeable doctor. I went to Dr. Wu to see if he could helped me with my hot flashes. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Wu! I saw him after being rejected from 2 fertility centers for IVF treatment. I had an FSH of 25 and AMH of 0.6 and AFC of 3. They told me my best option was donor eggs. I saw him in May 2020  and started getting acupuncture 3 times a week. He is thoughtful, gentle and very caring. I am elated to report that I am 34 weeks pregnant to this day! I got pregnant 6 weeks later!

I continued seeing him throughout my first trimester to prevent miscarriage since I was high risk. I had no morning sickness or pain or any other issues, and it helped with my first trimester fatigue.

I truly believe acupuncture saved me. I plan to return to him before I start trying for a second child.

I don’t usually use Yelp or give reviews but I must say the service provided from Dan is just beyond my expectations. I had my first ever acupuncture session 2 weeks ago because of severe symptoms on the left side of my body that I was constantly feeling a tingling sensation and was going through a lot of stress as well. After my first session the tingling was 85% gone and I had the best nights of sleep ever in my life. Yesterday I had a second session and the tingling sensation is completely away! I felt extremely relaxed even for 2 weeks after the procedure. Just amazing!

Dr. Wu has helped me so much over the past year. He is extremely knowledgeable with both western and eastern medicine and always explains things clearly. He has helped me a ton with a stomach issue I have been having for over five years that no other doctor was able to treat. Highly recommend Dr. Wu.  I have always had an irregular menstrual cycle and haven’t had my period in five months prior to seeing Dr. Wu.  Six days after my first visit, I got my period.  Pretty good! I see him every week for shoulder pain, sinuses, and hormone  treatments.  He’s the guy to go to, he knows his stuff.

Hello.  I have had a pain in my lower back for quite a number of months now.  The worst part is at night when i try to go to sleep.  No matter what position I get in I can’t seem to feel comfortable.  It really has been driving me crazy and interfering with my sleep. My doctor could not specifically identify the problem and could do nothing more than prescribe pain medication.
I don’t like to take pain medication such as  vicodins or the like.  They make me light-headed and somewhat nauseous.  I just don’t like the feeling I get when I am on that stuff.  I take aspirin, ibuprofen, etc., which does help, but still does not render me absolutely comfortable when I sleep.  I had just resigned myself to avoiding long trips in my auto and putting up with this ailment until it goes away or if and when the problem can be identified and some treatment can be found.
Then somebody recommended Dan Wu and his caring treatment of his patients.  I am a white person, so I was always very sceptical of these far eastern approaches to treating ailments in the place of traditional western medicine.  But eureka…it worked!  Dr. Wu cured my ailment after a couple of visits.  Anytime I feel a twinge like it might be coming back I am back in his office in a heartbeat.  In fact, I am willing to rely on his advice and treatment concerning a wide range of issues now should the need arise.  I have complete confidence in him.  I just cannot recommend this man highly enough.

I’m  over 60 years old.  I often feel  some pressures and pains on my lower back and  shoulder areas.  I used to think it is normal for my age and accepted this occurrence. One time, I talked to my friend and I was referred to Dr Wu for the acupuncture.  I was a little bit nerves at the first visit because  I thought it may be painful with the needles treatment.  Surprising,  it was painless and I fell asleep the whole time during the treatment.  I feel great  and my shoulders can move more freely without pain after several follow-up treatments.  He is a great and friendly acupuncturist.  He is the best! Highly recommended.

I have undergone a series of acupuncture treatments for severe sciatic pain and muscle weakness by Dr. Dan Wu which has resulted in marked improvement in my condition. As a result I am able walk with considerably less pain. I am also able to do many household activities which I was unble to perform before. My daughter had itchy and very dry skin. She visited the dermatology over  a few years. She was prescribed with cream medication which contains Hydrocortisone every time to sooth her itchiness. It didn’t  help much . Her medication situation was getting worse.   I was referred by a friend to see Dr. Wu for acupuncture. At first, we didn’t know if it was going to work as she never had any experiences with acupuncture and was afraid of needles and pain. Surprisingly, she didn’t complain about the needles after her first treatment. She told us it was painless and so she wanted to give it a try.  After a few treatments, we could see that her itchiness and skin was getting better.  When she completed the whole treatment cycle, her skin problem was gone and no longer needs the Hydrocortisone cream .  Her skin doesn’t bother her  anymore.  She was very lucky to have been treated by Dr. Wu.   I usually do not write reviews but  Dr. Wu really deserves  one. Dr. Wu, thank you very much.   Highly Recommended.

I am so grateful to the doctor! He helped me a 44 year old woman improve my egg quality, prepare my body to be at it’s best and ultimately support my pregnancy! I started seeing Dr. Dan after an unsuccessful egg retrieval at age 44. I would see him 1 to 3 times per week. The next egg retrieval resulted in 9 embryos and 1 AA embryo! In November 2019 we transferred the embryo and I got pregnant!! But Dr.Dan’s support didn’t stop there. I saw him 1 to 2 times per week to make sure my pregnancy was a success.  Prior to the pandemic but Covid looming he gave me a N95 mask. At the time I thought, I don’t need this. And then boom the pandemic hit and I had this safe mask! I had to stop seeing him when everything shut down however he got me ready for a successful pregnancy and now a beautiful baby girl! After two years of trying to conceive + one miscarriage + 2 failed IUI treatments, I decided to try out acupuncture. I am so glad I found Dr. Wu.

Right before I was about to do my last round of IUI I decided to start acupuncture. I was extremely lucky and it worked! I have been seeing Dr. Wu since January 2021 and my baby is due in October. He has kept me feeling confident & comfortable throughout this pregnancy and would highly recommend seeing him. He is extremely knowledgeable and explains everything so well. Without him, I’m not sure I could have been so calm with this pregnancy.

I made sure to show him every report, every ultrasound to keep him in the loop. I highly, highly recommend seeing Dr. Wu for any fertility issues you may have.

Dr.Wu is amazing. He supported me through my ivf journey and pregnancy. I felt so relaxed during the sessions often falling asleep and waking up feeling refreshed and renewed. I was mainly there for fertility support, but he also helped me with my neck pain and the pain I had from those awful PIO injections. I’m currently 41 and gave birth to my daughter 3 months ago. Dr Wu is the absolute best. I started seeing him 3x a week leading up to my pregnancy and until about 20 weeks. He helped me analyze bloodwork + stay relaxed and calm! It was like having a second OB.

If there is anything you take away from this review, let it be this: Dr. Wu is the most phenomenal acupuncturist and hormone specialist that I have ever met, and if you struggle with any sort of thyroid/PCOS issue (or issues around conception, though I cannot personally speak to that!), and want to see some improvement in a gentle, holistic way, let Dr. Wu be your first stop.

I found Dr. Wu sometime late last year, overwhelmed with symptoms of hormone imbalance, and sick of doctors trying to push birth control as the end all be all instead of figuring out the root cause of what was going on. After about a month of consistent treatment, these symptoms were noticeably better. I’ll spare you Yelpers all the details (feel free to message me though if you’re in this same boat and have any specific questions!), but for the first time in about a year, I finally felt that wellness and feeling familiar and peaceful again in my own body were within my reach.

Dr. Wu is professional, knowledgeable, and straightforward with his care. Scheduling is easily done online via his website, and there’s ample parking nearby at the tennis center. Feel free to bring in any lab work that you may have, as Dr. Wu can review it and further tailor your care to your needs.

Like some other Yelpers have mentioned, acupuncture is not a one-time thing. You really have to be committed to going for several sessions. Dr. Wu recommended that I come in three times a week, but I knew that financially and scheduling-wise, I could only go twice weekly. Even so, I still was able to see improvements! So be patient, and just wait for Dr. Wu to work his magic (which is really not magical at all, but rather a centuries old component of traditional Chinese medicine)!

I would give more stars if I could!  I am so grateful for Dr. Dan Wu!  I have suffered nearly five years with what several Western medicine doctors dismissed as regular symptoms of peri menopause.  The first doctor even suggested I get a hysterectomy.  After suffering extremely difficult and long female cycles, a complex ovarian cyst was finally discovered in October.  This concerned my doctor but still zero options for treatment.
After getting some (marginal) relief over the years from herbalist, functional medicine, I finally researched peri menopause and found Dr. Wu.  It is now only three months later and I had an additional pelvic ultrasound and the results were that the complex ovarian cyst is completely gone!
As shocking to me as that is, I’m not super surprised because I have felt relief since my first visit with Dr. Wu.
I can feel my hormones coming into balance for maybe the first time ever.
At age 50, I can say I feel better than the previous several years with the help of Dr Wu.
My only regret is that I did not find him sooner.  I highly recommend Dr Wu for anything female.  This includes difficult female cycles, trying to get pregnant, being pregnant, and even going through the transition into menopause!

I came to Dr. Wu to help me prepare for a 2nd round of IVF.  1st round had failed (only one healthy egg, which didn’t implant), and the fertility clinic had asked me to take a 2 month break, take some vitamins, and hopefully my egg quality would improve before round 2.  I also had a large endometrioma causing trouble, and had been trying 6 years for a baby.

Dr. Wu suggested we do 4 months of acupuncture treatment, with 3 sessions per week.  I was hesitant because… once you’ve shoveled out a ton of money on IVF you’re a bit weary of extra spending, especially going into a 2nd round.  HOWEVER, Dr. Wu said… “But what if you DON’T have to do IVF again?”  That possibility hadn’t even crossed my mind as I thought IVF was my only option – acupuncture being just a little boost.

Ladies and Gentlemen – I was beyond shocked when at EXACTLY 4 months in, I got a positive pregnancy test.  There was no greater joy than canceling my 2nd round plans with the IVF clinic.

From there, I continued to see Dr. Wu throughout the pregnancy and followed all of his advice.

We now have a happy healthy 2 month old baby.  🙂

This man is a true master of acupuncture.  In addition to his skills and wisdom he is a genuinely caring person who wants to see you succeed.  And with his help I’m sure you WILL succeed in your fertility or health goals.

My cyst is gone!! In 7 days! Thank you dr!! I had to delay IVF because of a cyst that popped up out of no where. I did 10 days of birth control to get it to go away, and no luck. So I decided to call Dr Dan Wu! And he saved the day. I came in everyday and he focused on the right side where it was. I did this in combination with drinking apple cider vinegar, garlic and orange juice 2x a day and one reflexology massage. It went away in  7 days! The IVF doctor was shocked!! Thank you Dr Dan Wu!

Dr. Wu is amazing at what he does. I’m 37 and struggled to get pregnant for 16 months. After being treated by him 2x week, I got pregnant naturally! I continued to get acupuncture through pregnancy and had a positive experience. I’m now seeing him to help get my hormones back on track postpartum. I would highly recommend him to anyone struggling with fertility or hormone issues!
